OSRS How to get rid of Skull

ways to remove your skull in osrs

Before we dive into the process of removing a PK skull, it’s crucial to understand how it works. A PK skull is acquired when you engage in player combat within the Wilderness, a dangerous and lawless area in OSRS. Once you have a PK skull, you’re marked as a target for other players, and it can be quite a challenge to lose it.

Wait It Out

The easiest way to get rid of a PK skull in OSRS is simply to wait. PK skulls have a timer that lasts for 20 minutes of in-game time, which equates to about 5 real-world minutes. During this time, you should avoid engaging in any combat activities in the Wilderness and focus on other tasks, like skilling or questing.

Prayer at an Altar

If you can’t wait for the timer to expire, there’s another option. Find a Prayer Altar in the Wilderness, such as the one located in the Chaos Temple (level 38 Wilderness). Once there, use the “Pray-at” option on the altar to pray. This will consume 1 Prayer point per second and remove your PK skull after a certain amount of time.

Complete the Mage Arena Miniquest

For those who have completed the Mage Arena Miniquest, there’s an additional method to remove the PK skull. Head to the Mage Arena, located in the deep Wilderness, and pray at one of the three gods’ statues: Saradomin, Zamorak, or Guthix. Each statue requires a certain amount of Prayer points to remove your skull. Once you’ve prayed at the statue, your PK skull will vanish.

Use a Teleport

In some situations, waiting or praying might not be an option due to the threat of imminent attack. In such cases, it’s best to teleport out of the Wilderness using a teleportation item or spell. Teleportation spells like “Teleport Block” and “Teleport to House” are effective ways to escape the Wilderness and remove your PK skull.
