- Head to the Headless Beast’s lair in the Haunted Woods and defeat it.
- Find Neilan’s journal in the bookcase of his house in Taverley.
- Speak to the Headless Beast’s former owner, Gordon, in Taverley.
- Create a fake head by using a knife on a log.
- Mount the fake head in Gordon’s house.
- Return to Eli Bacon to complete the quest.
Completing the quest rewards players with coins, crafting experience, construction experience, and access to a tannery in the Kebos Lowlands.
